The Rolex Land-Dweller 40 represents one of the most significant innovations in the modern history of the Rolex brand. The Land-Dweller collection was introduced in 2025 and brought not only a completely new design with an integrated bracelet, but above all a new generation of mechanical movements featuring the revolutionary Dynapulse escapement. The model combines traditional Rolex elements with a distinctly modern architecture and technical innovations.

The 40-mm White Rolesor case combines Oystersteel with 18k white gold, from which the distinctive fluted bezel is crafted. The intensely white dial, featuring a honeycomb motif, is created using a femtosecond laser and is complemented by open-style numerals at the 6 and 9 o’clock positions and hour markers with Chromalight luminescence. The date window at the 3 o’clock position is equipped with a Cyclops lens. A notable new feature is the integrated Flat Jubilee bracelet with flat five-piece links and a concealed Crownclasp folding clasp. The sapphire crystal is complemented by a transparent case back with an anti-reflective coating, while water resistance to 100 meters maintains the practicality typical of Oyster cases.

Inside, the watch is powered by the new Rolex 7135 in-house automatic caliber, equipped with the innovative Dynapulse escapement. The movement features a Syloxi silicon hairspring, a ceramic balance staff, and the Paraflex shock-absorption system. It operates at a high frequency of 5 Hz, or 36,000 half-vibrations per hour, giving the second hand an exceptionally smooth appearance. It offers a power reserve of approximately 66 hours and, as a Superlative Chronometer, achieves an accuracy of −2/+2 seconds per day after casing.
